Salt have been in the news and all over blogs and tweets in the past few months, as everyone works hard spreading the word: 'keep independent publishing alive and buy just one book' (take a look here to keep up with how things are going).
Salt support some of my favourite short story writers, help keep short stories thriving, and generally just publish some simply unique books. It's a pleasure to pass on the good news that the winner of the Prize will receive a subscription to to Salt’s Story Bank, which will provide them with new short story collections for a whole year!
The winner will receive the following benefits:
- Four luxury, first edition, hardback books, selected for them by the Editor, and delivered to them post-free
- 30% discount on ALL Salt books, including the full range of short stories, poetry and critical books
- A FREE copy of the highly-acclaimed Sawn-off Tales by David Gaffney
- Special offers and subscriber-only benefits
Each Story Bank cased edition is beautifully typeset in Gerard Unger’s Swift, and comes with a matt-laminated jacket designed by leading design agency The Cover Factory. Every copy is foil blocked with coloured endpapers and is printed in Britain on Vancouver Cream Bookwove paper.
Now that sounds like some fancy pants paper!
I am hoping for a subscription for my birthday in September, failing that, I will snaffle myself a subscription, because I'm worth it (I am swishing my hair...*now*).
