I, the author, demand dancing cats

Eighty Years of Book Cover Design by Faber & Faber

Now, is this an argument why authors probably shouldn't design their own book covers?

Or not?

I do love the dancing cats in the bottom left. Maybe it should be made compulsory. Authors designing book covers I mean, not cat dancing.

We are working on the design of the Glasgow Student Short Story Prize anthology, I am happy to say we have the design expertise of animator and illustrator Gemma Manger.
